Personal Branding Photo Session with Kendra Stewart

Kendra Stewart is a leadership coach who specializes in empowering and supporting women of color. She is also the co-host of The Adjacent Self podcast which explores ways to help people tap into their best selves.

We had our initial consultation on the phone to create a focused understanding and plan of her personal and professional goals. We discussed wardrobe, colors, and “the vibe” for her photo session. We wanted to make sure we focused on her authentic style and personality while conveying confidence and joy.

For Kendra’s session, I wanted to provide a light, bright, and airy atmosphere, so I reserved the FEMX space in San Diego. (more about FEMX below)

Kendra’s images convey a strong, confident woman who is beautiful on the inside and out. She glows in all her photos. We captured some casual images, and some that were more dressy and professional.

We made sure to take a series of photos during one of her coaching sessions. Kendra finds true joy in uplifting and supporting others.

She brought her favorite motivational mug, along with the books that she is currently reading and other tools of her trade. Images of these objects can be used on social media to introduce a blog post, creative idea, or other bit of inspiration.

After spending time at FEMX, we captured a few photos on the city streets. She loves the busy metro setting, conveying the hustle and grit she puts into her work ethic.

We ended our time together in the studio, to shoot a few headshots for her bio pages and social media profiles.

My Personal Branding Photo Session with Kendra Stewart was like a mini party. There was laughter and joy throughout our time together. You can contact Kendra through her LinkedIn page : https://www.linkedin.com/in/kendrastewart0/

Located in San Diego, FEMX is an event venue, creative studio, and a membership community for entrepreneurs and creatives. Their website describes their space as “a creative, feminine, and inclusive space for modern entrepreneurs, makers, creatives, organizers, artists, changemakers, dreamers, innovators, builders, and all those who dare take the leap to accomplish their dreams.” It’s a great space and I love that it’s female-founded by an amazing Latinx entrepreneur, Jessie Medina.
