The best photos tell a story.
I love stories. This is why I became a photographer.
I started out using photography as a way to document what was going on around me. This was way, way, way before smart phones with cameras, before Instagram. I carried a huge camera around, I printed everything. People are my favorite subjects. When I travel and take photos, I focus on the people, not the landscape! I fell in love with photojournalism and creating photo essays because they told a story and stories are what connects us.
I truly believe that each and every one of us has a fantastic story to tell and a photo can be a big part of that telling. Photos can peak your interest, explain what’s going, make you laugh or make you cry. Great photos will need no explanation, the photo will say it all.
In terms of today’s hyper-visual digital world, images are everything. Your photos will help you stand out from the crowd. You will use them on your webpages, your social media posts and stories, your emailed newsletter and e-blasts. Your photos will communicate to your message to your audience and customers.
This is why high quality, professional images are so important. Your personal brand will rely on your images to tell your story.

Your passion for capturing human stories through photography is truly inspiring—there’s a timeless power in images that speak volumes without a single word. As a fellow creative, managing gear and tech on the go is essential, especially when editing or storing thousands of photos. One small tip for conserving battery life during travel or background processing: use black screen onl. It’s a simple, browser-based tool that displays a full black screen, ideal for extending battery on laptops and mobile devices, especially those with OLED displays. Perfect for photographers who need efficient tools while staying focused on storytelling.
Bright white background is a valuable tool in professional photography, helping to create clean, focused backdrops that enhance storytelling. Your emphasis on capturing people and moments resonates deeply, and using a bright screen can highlight your subjects beautifully. It’s perfect for creating impactful, high-quality images that truly tell a story.
